Choose the task before choosing the assistant.
If the question is where automation belongs, use the task decision guide. Separate actions with clear rules, drafts that need review and decisions that remain with a person. Write down the required inputs, the exception and who handles it.
If the underlying path is still unclear, first choose one path to investigate. Automating a task whose purpose or owner is unresolved adds another thing to manage.
Check the kind of output you actually have.
For a customer message, check the reply against the request and agreed facts. Look for a preferred date becoming a booking, or a possible answer becoming a commitment. A reviewed draft still needs a separate sending decision.
For a voice product, use the receptionist demo checklist. In a controlled demonstration, try a correction and an unsupported request, then inspect what the team receives. A convincing greeting is not evidence that every handoff works.
For an audience or market recommendation, trace the research to its sources. Check the dates, population and measure before treating a useful idea as evidence of demand.
Leave with a decision you can explain.
Your result might be a task suitable for a limited rehearsal, a corrected draft, a demo gap to investigate or a research claim to withhold. Keep the observation beside the conclusion so another person can understand its limits.
